Lobzang Dolma is the sister of our founding child Stanzing and, with the support of Ladakh-Hilfe, ventured out of the small mountain village of Lingshed into the great outdoors. After successfully completing school, she graduated from Bharathidasan University in Tiruchirappalli/India with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Rehabilitation Science. The focus of her interest and her work was and is the current state of research on the topic of cerebral palsy in children. She gained practical experience through internships during her studies (Holy Cross Blossom Opportunity School for Special Children Trichy, Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled Bangalore) and while working at our therapy center in Leh. She is currently working in a public center as a counselor focusing on drug prevention.
However, her great wish is to continue working in the field of rehabilitation science and to research the topic of cerebral palsy. For this reason, Lobzang Dolma applied for admission to the Ph. D. program at Bharathidasan University this year and was successful. However, after consultation with the university, she will not be able to start a project until mid-2025 at the earliest. Until then, she would like to use the time to complete an additional qualification (Bachelor of Education, B. ed.), which is a prerequisite for employment in India's education system.  
We would now like to continue to support Lobzang on her ambitious path. As she will be studying for both the B. ed. and Ph. D. degrees by distance learning, with face-to-face courses in between, it will take around 4-5 years. The total costs will be around 5000 euros. We are now looking for supporters who want to help support Lobzang's dream. Any amount is welcome and will go 100% towards the project.
