Children need hope, they need REWA
Children need hope, they need REWA

German girls bike for REWA in August 2016

Mirjam Schlecht and Henriette Schneider got to know each other working for a company for mechanical engineering in Augsburg, Germany 13 years ago.

Both of them being vivid outdoor fanatics,  started doing things together and formed a wonderful friendship:  Mountain hiking, extensive mountain biking, skiing excursions, summit trecks and 2013 a trip to Nepal, Everest Base Camp (5364), Kala Patar (5600m), Gokyo Ri (5357m) und Chukhung Ri (5546m). Since this trip the the charitative aspect of their travel has increased. Mirjam Schlecht and her hsuband are neighbors and friends of Karola Wood, founder and director of Ladakh-Hilfe/Rewa.

Mirjam and Henriette plan a new adventure for 2016. Together with 4 other German friends they want to start in Manali and take their mountain bikes across the Himalaya to Leh. Their tour is guided by an Indian travel agency, specialized in biking across mountains.

Of course they want to advertise their action and help the charitative cause of Ladakh-Hilfe/Rewa in Leh and Kargil.

They are looking for media representative in Delhi, Manali and Leh to help cover their story and advertise for REWA and the needs of the special children of Ladakh.

If you think there is a great story and a wonderful cause behind this adventure, please help us with media coverage and contact us: kinder(add)
