The meeting for Volunteers last weekend was a great success for all 20 participants. Ex-volunteers and future volunteers shared information, got to know each other and listened to Powerpoint Presentations from Karola, Barbara and Anna. Change of plans, new goals and objectives were introduced, challenges for the volunteers discussed. All presentations were being held in the English language, since for the first time we had volunteers from Wales, UK, with us.
Both centers, Kargil and Leh, are in the responsibility of all volunteers travelling to Ladakh. Their main task
is the guiding and teaching of the locals. On Saturday night a toast was given for the anniversary of 10 years Ladakh-Hilfe. To look back at 10 years of work in Ladakh it seemed astonishing at what
had been accomplished already. We all cooked and ate together and enjoyed each others fellowship. Next year the meeting will be held in March to accomodate late registrations in a better way. On
Sunday morning we did have a bit of problem with totally frozen cars and roads, but everybody made it home all right.
