Fieldtripp-Team
on the Pass
On
10th of March 2011 Rewa team left for Tangtse field trip with five
staff members (Physiotherapist= Jule, Christoph and Chokla & physio
aid = Othzer,Paul). We moved at 9:30am from office and reached Shayok
at around 1:30pm, where we assessed and treated two patient namely;
Konchok Tharchin and Thinley with T.B. as spine.At 4:30pm we left
for Tangtse and reached there at around 5:30pm, there we take a tea
break, then left for residential school where we treat two school
girls namely: Lhamo= a girl with rheumatoid arthritis.
Rigzin= a girl with congenital scoliosis, we also treated her and
gave her more home exercises. At around 6:30pm went back to Tangtse
to spend the night there.
Next morning we left for Maan Merak.
It took us two hours travel from Tangtse to get there, but unfortunately
we found out that the patient had left for Leh a month back and their
family members didn't informed the Rewa team about that, so we took
the patient address at Leh so that we can contact her when we reach
back to Leh. From Maan Merak we came back to Tangtse and from there
we moved to Satoo (a village an hour from Tangtse) where we have two
patient namely: Stanzin Shakya and Lhundup, one of C.P. and chronic
teammate ancle injury. We also tought his parents how to work with
him and do home exercise.
We
left Satoo for Tangtse at around 6:10pm and reach there at 7pm, so
that we can spend the night there and next morning we left for Leh
and we reached home at around 1:35pm.

We
had a wonderful trip and were able to help many patients and we also
enjoyed the beautiful countryside of Ladakh.
