on restricted area: Nyoma Block"

We started our journey from Leh to Nyoma block at 9:30 am with
Chuskit, Thomas and Norbu.
On the way we checked our one patient having scoliosis since birth.
She is 21yrs old and she is doing her exercises every day regularly.
We reached Nyoma around 5:00 pm.
Second day we reached Koyul village and we started to ask about
disabled children. First we visited the head of the village, then
we asked him about disabled children, then he told us about the
patient.
She lives in Nomadic area with her grand parents. Diagnosis is
C.P. since birth. She is 8yrs old, and we did exercises with her
and showed her grand parents how to do the exercises with her.
She looked happy when we visited her.
One patient was not at home, she went to another place where Nomadic
people lives.
Koyul village is very close to China border, on the way we saw
a Chinese Army Truck. Then we came back to Hanley village..
Third Day we started again, Hanley village is quite big. We found
out there were two patients. One is 14th yrs old with the diagnosis
C.P. since birth. She is going to school with her sister just
for playing games. We did some exercises with her and her father
is also interested to do therapy with her. The father was also
there with us all the time.
Another patient was not at home, she went to hot spring at Damjock
with her family.After that we came back to Nyoma and we spend
a night over there.
Fourth Day we went to Chumur village. There are three passes on
the way. This village is also very close to the Chinese border.
This village is very small, we found only one patient there. He
is 18 yrs old suffering from Hemiplegia since birth. We did some
exercise with him and showed his father how to do the exercises.
Then we came back to Nyoma village.
Fifth Day we visit ed our old patient at Puga school. She lives
in school hostel, last time she came to Leh and we gave her shoes-rising,
she is using the shoes and doing her exercises regularly. She
is 9yrs old and her left leg is shorter then right
On the way back we checked another one of our patients. She is
23yrs old with the diagnosis being Hemiplegia since birth. She
is doing her exercises every day. She is doing home work and field
work also.
Then we visited our last patient at the Tibetan school. She is
7yrs old, diagnosis is Hemiplegia since birth. She came to Leh
this week with her teacher and we made soft splints. For her splints
are good and help her with walking.. We reached to Leh around
6:30 pm. During this field trip we drove 1,018 kilometers.
