On
date 22/05/2010 we, Norbulay, Armin, Sandra, Lora and me started
the DaHanu trip at 7:30am from changspa.11:10 am we reached at Khaltsay
then we went to the sub. Division of Engineering office to get a
permit ion to stay in Beema dak bangalow and we got it.
After that we move to Hanu and we arrived a nice place with a stone
wall where we cooked a lunch consisting of rice and vegetable and
we rested for half an hour.
After that we drove to Sanjak village for treatment with our one
patient his name is Z. H. He is 16year old, he has problem with
hemiplegia since birth. After we finished treatment we went to Beema
to stay that night, but that evening we didn't got a room in dak
bangalow because Govt. staff had come for picnic and all the rooms
were packed, then we decided to move Dha to stay the night in a
guesthouse and we cooked dinner ourself in that guesthouse.
Due to the heavy rainfall and stone slides we have to suffer on
that evening as we had to walk for 45 minutes to get our things
from the car as their was no road to drive.
And the next day morning at 9am we moved to Hanu, but unfortunately
the road was blocked due to the rainfall and some more land slide
at Hanau road, so then we decided to walk Hanuthang to Hanugongma.
And we parked our car at Hanuthang and started walk to Hanugongma.
We reached there around 11:30pm to Hanuyokma, we got a taxi from
there to Hanugongma and finally we reached our patient with the
name N. He is 5 year old and his parents were telling us that now
he can walk much better than before.
While we were treating him, he was with his family in a medical
center as there was water all over.
After finishing treatment we came back to Hanauyokma with the taxi.
Then we walk Hanuyokma back to Hanuthang, where we saw our car.
It was 3pm and we where we finished with DaHanu and decided to move
to Temisgam. On the way at Khaltsay we had our lunch at 6pm in a
restaurant rice and dal, after half an hour we moved to Temisgam
and reached at 7:15pm.
Normally we used to stay in a Namra hotel with the good price. But
when we ask for a room they don't want to give us room because of
heavy prices. So we had to look for another Guesthouse which was
much cheaper than the Namra hotel, we spent our night there and
they served dinner and breakfast for us, as it was included with
the room rent. On the third day we did our home visit in a Tia village,
where I saw three more patients with different diagnosis: Y. with
lot's of spasticity, U. with problems with his foot and J. with
lots of deformities. Some how I really enjoyed the trip and hope
that I will learn more and more about the treatment of the disabled
children.
The same day we reached back to Leh at 6pm.
Thanks
to REWA for giving me chance to join this wonderful trip I ever
had in my life.
