Tangtse field trip report

Participants: Norbu, Mr. David, Sarah and Chuskit

1. On 18th of March, I Chuskit along with Mr. David , Sara and Nurbu went to Tangtse Field Trip it was of three days trip . At around 11 a.m we reached the Changla Pass .Changla Pass is about ALT 17,800 Mtrs.


After crossing the Changla Pass, we reached Shayok village where the monk belongs .He (monk) was very happy when he saw us and as usual we asked him about the exercises he says he always doing and he showed us the exercise which we taught. And we taught him 3 new exercises and he also did that very well. His response was very good as compared to others. He is always ready to do anything and he is very active person.


At the same village (Shayok) we found one new patient who is 20yrs. He is in Leh now-a-days. Sara will let you know his details. After him we came back to Tangtse.


2. Next day i.e. on 19th of March, our trip was to visit Mann-Merag village where the beautiful Pangong-Lake also falls on the way to Mann-Merag village. We visited our first patient, her diagnose is Arthritis, She is 14yrs. Old. She was very much better than before and she is also good in her studies, her teacher told us.

Next patient was also 14 yrs. Old and her diagnose is C.P . Her mother is taking good care of her and her mother is helping her in doing the exercises. We bought her new special sitting chair where she sits comfortably on that chair. She was very happy to see us. After visiting her we came back again to Tangtse.


3. On 20th of March, we went to our next patient her diagnose is Scoliosis, She is 17 yrs. Old , she is very actively in doing the exercises and she is also improving. She also takes participates in the school games.


Last patient was 14 yrs. Old and his diagnose is C.P since birth. We also bought him special sitting chair. His parents is accompanying him to do the exercises and we taught him few more exercises.


So, he was our last patient and then we came back to Leh. It was very nice trip and I am extremely touched with the patients of Tangtse and I would like to visit more and more.
