Once
again it was so nice feeling to go there in Nubra valley. As our
plan was to leave on 16th of April but the pass Khardong-la was
closed because of the bad weather , so we left early in the morning
and as usually Tundup was there to pick up us from the office.
First I did pray to God for our safe journey and than when we were
almost close to reach at the top of Khardong- la? Saw that still
some cars and big busses were stuck in the snow and was slippery.
We felt quite thirsty and decide to walk some miles. After we reached
at Khardong- la, all three of us had five cups of black tea. And
finally around 11:00 am we saw that Tundup was coming.

The girl with Mental Retardation Deachen was our first patient at
Khardong village and there we found that she was busy in playing
with clay. She was so excited to see us but suddenly her mood was
changed and become so aggressive. Her mother was telling us that
she doesn't like to use crutches and her mentality is also getting
severe. And sometimes she's also hitting the people with stones
and other things. It was so hard to decide that what we can do with
her, because she didn't allow us to touch also we were afraid? So
we took the crutches back and left some useful things like clothes
and shoes for her.

Tsewang was our second patient with no diagnoses, but he has foot
problem and parents were telling that he's also falling but less
than last year. He's going to Khardong School everyday and has normal
development. He didn't remember the exercises from last time and
was telling that he got allergy from the Theratogs. So we showed
him some new exercise.

After that we had some Maggie noodle for our lunch at the same place
and than went straight to Diskit valley. Around 4:00 pm in the afternoon
we reached there and found the rooms in tourist government place.
I did start to boil some tea for us and than started to cook dinner.

On the next day we went to another village to treat our patient
Deachen Lamo, with whom I went to Delhi for her treatment and has
Hydrocephalus. There we saw that she becomes quite bigger than last
year and also parents told that they stop with the medication because
since months she is not getting epilepsy fits anymore. So we showed
the parents some new exercises to do with her.
Stanzin was our third patient with some muscle disease problem?
Going to kinder garden school everyday and has problem with writing
and abnormal walking. Told the mother to do some blood test of a
child in Army hospital there in Hunder and send us the report.

I have left our new English flyer and contact numbers, so that they
can send us easily. We also build some gripper for his pencil and
also bought some new memory games for him.
Slowly, slowly we moved to Sumur village to treat Tsering Dorjay
with spine injured problem. For him these days seems like more Neurological
problems are coming in her daily life, so we decide to put him on
a list to show a Neurologist doctor. Because of his stool problem
the physiotherapist advised him to eat small pieces of apple so
that it can pass easier and also drink a lot of water. Also he needs
some disinfection liquid bottles while or after using the catheter
condoms to reduce urine infection.

Dorjay with Hemiplegic's (right) going to school in Chamshen has
got improved a lot from physical therapy. But the teacher from the
school was telling us that he really need a special educator as
he is getting lot of problem in studying. So we decide to inform
the special educator here in Leh soon. As we met some official people
form Education of govt. and were interested to hold an official
meeting with us.
By the time we have found some new patients whom we don't have any
diagnosis yet but told the parents to bring in Leh for some test.

It was really a wonderful field trip especially the camel riding
with others and the hot spring bath in Panamik, where we spend two
nights with Tundup's family.
Thanks to Christiane, Anja and Tundup for joining.
