Our student Rinchen Dolker

She started her two year education last year in Delhi at the school for Health and Hygiene where there are many other students studying to get degrees in pharmacy, X-ray technology, dental works, MRI- and CT-assistants and more.

She shares her Physiostudies with three other students. Her subjects for examination are anatomy, physiology, psychology, electrotherapy, muscle training and pharmacology. According to Rinchen the first year was not so difficult, but the second year is supposed to be more of a challenge. School days are from Monday to Saturday, the classes start 9:45 a:m and finish 16:30 p:m. Two days a week the students work in a public hospital where they are being trained by physiotherapist with a diploma. This way their preactical experience and knowledge is being expanded.

.
Rinchen lives with another student in the school hostel. About another 100 students live there. Sunday is the day for studies and washing of clothes. In this hostel they are not permitted to make phone calls, use the internet nor are allowed to go down town Dehli. Only in the company of selected relatives they are sometimes permitted to leave the hostel to go shopping or to go out to eat. Usually they get their meals at the hostel..

Rinchen Dolkar is very grateful for the funding of her education as a physiotherapist by the Swiss Rodtegg Foundation, fa foundation for physical challenged people in Luzern, in the centre of country. This school for the disabled collected over 4000 Euro last year to help fund the education of Rinchen Dolker.

Rinchen herself says:"Thank you very much for sponsoring my study, I will never forget it in my whole life"
