Here Dorjay introduces himself:

I have started my carrier from a volunteer by working in a natural disaster at Leh with MSF and Handicap International in 2010, later I got and opportunity to work with Handicap international in a project of physical rehabilitation in a conflict affected areas of Kashmir. Later based on my performance appraisal  I got an another opportunity to work for a Chhattisgarh project. In 2015 Handicap International has to closed the project at Dantewada (Chhattisgarh ) because of having funding issues from donor. District  magistrate wants to continue the basic services at district hospital  after Handicap International withdraw and he requested  me to continue the services  at district hospital, since that i am working with district Hospital.

After one year passed  I realised that actual need of the rehabilitation  is require at community level  and I start collecting data and  written a proposal  on “Mainstreaming people with disabilities through increased access to quality physical rehabilitation services in Dantewada district, Chhattisgarh” and submitted to the district magistrate. Fortunately  the proposal was accepted and appreciated  by District Magistrate. Now days I am working on this program, the total cost of the program is 14600000 INR. This is one my biggest achievement in my carrier. This programme provided opportunity for 25 numbers people to work, and to developed their career and opportunity to serve the people with disability and those who are on a risk of developing disability. The key role and responsibility of my profile is to write a Project proposal, planning, execution monitoring, evaluation, team management ,training, community mobilisation, monthly report writing, coordination meeting with stakeholders, appropriate  IEC material develop, conduct workshop etc. This project is not only focus on physical rehabilitation, it covers education, livelihood and skill up gradation and accessibility etc . Within this seven years I have learn a lot from different background professionals and societal, because of that today I am working as a district program coordinator.  My work is appreciated by health director, district magistrate and chief medical officer and hospital superintendent and also provided a letter of appreciation. Now I would like to change my location and organisation to improve my knowledge and carrier growth. Exposure to different context brings more experience to deal with different people and environment. And also I would like to work for the people of Ladakh which is one of my dream as well and it will be my pleasure to serve them if I get this opportunity.
