A meeting was called for the teachers of the Munshi Habibulla Mission School to discuss with Karola Wood, director of Ladakh-Hilfe. Topic was the inclusion of special needs children into the regular school.
Many questions were asked, problems were discussed and some solutions found. The plan is to find more special educators from India to come to Ladakh as volunteers since the need for further education and training for the teachers of the local school is very much needed.
Three indian volunteers so far have helped in 2015 and 2016 with the special needs children and inclusion in regular school. Their help was very much needed and appreciated. There are plans to actively find new volunteers by the staff of MHMS.
Also a team for heading and documenting the problems, success and needs of the special needs children will be formed. They will meet regulary and decide further steps of action. All staff of MHMS is highly motivated to include special needs children in their classes.
Please help with volunteering for this great work intended to help the special children of Karigl district!
