Physiotherapy Education in Delhi

On 24.07.2009 a long-cherished dream came true:

On this day Rinchen Dolker of Ladakh started the basic course of physiotherapy at the Institute of Public Health & Hygiene (RZ-A-44, Mahipalpur, New Delhi 110037 Email: iphh@iphhparamedic.org Phone: 26782850-54, 26781075 Website: www.iphhparamedic.org).

The training lasts for two years and will give Rinchen Dolker necessary physical therapy principles/basics and practical experience in various areas of hospital work.

Rinchen Dolker (23 years old) came to us just in June 2009 and integrated herself into our team with such joy and reliability that we immediately felt very good about her. Her work demonstrated willingness to learn and readiness for action. We set up a contract with her where she committed herself to work for REWA /Ladakh-Hilfe for five years after completing the training.

This two-year course costs a total of (including all charges, fees, materials, accommodation, etc.) approximately 3,200 to 3500 Euros and will be borne fully by Ladakh-Hilfe e.V.

For us, this step is the fulfilment of our vision for Ladakh: Helping the local people to help their own.

We are hopeful that more of our locals will obtain professional training to be able to work with patients with disabilities in Ladakh. And we are hoping that you will support us greatly with this task.
