New Heating System is being installed in the R.A.C.

To be able to use the new Therapy Center R.A.C. (REWA Ability Center) we have to install a central heating system. The health of children with disabilities is very fragile and they get sick frequently during the winter if they stay in cold rooms and have to stay home. We faced this problem during the last winters, but now we take care that the large room will be well tempered to be able to treat the children, to play and have fun. No more blue lips, shivering and so much clothing that we are hardly able to treat the kids.

Central heating is still new in Ladakh. Here we see the company cutting the pipes.

One heater is installed. Warm curtains over the windows also keep the cold out.

 

We are progressing. Hopefully all the wall damage will be repaired and fixes up nicely.

To help insulate we put up plastic outside of the windows during winter.. This is a common practice in Ladakh.
