We work until there is no more work for us to do

An expedition for Help

LA-DAK, the land of high passes - a land like no other- only to be described by its unbelievable expansion. Squeezed between the two mightiest mountain ranges of the world, the Himalaya and the Karakorum it offers together with the Zanskar area the last stronghold for the Tibetan Buddhism.

Because this country is so difficult to reach a very unique culture was able to develop which still exists today.

The optical contrast between the endless rocks and a few lush green oases in which the people have settled fascinates again and again.

One of those green oasis is located a 5day trek  away over a 5050m high pass in Lingshed (3.700m), a mountain village with 80 houses, hidden away deeply into the mountains.

By a strange coincidence we heard about the little handicapped Rigzin and her poverty stricken family consisting out of women only, living in this remote village.

We visited those women and helped the child with professional physiotherapy.  Suddenly we find ourselves carried away in an avalanche of adventures and activities.

Now ALL handicapped children of Ladakh are involved, a training possibility in the basics of Physiotherapy for the locals has been established, locals are being employed by our organisation and of many dedicated German volunteers work in the Himalayan Mountains and much more…

WE WORK UNTIL THERE IS NO MORE WORK FOR US TO DO!

The goal is to help the people in such a way they will not need our help anymore in the future.
