Treffen mit Dr. Palmo von der Ladakh-Nun-Association in Kempten am 28.03.2009

Three of the young nuns from the LNA became members of REWA in 2007. They travell with us to see the children, treat them with their Amchi-Medicine and help where ever they can. Karola met with Dr. Palmo, the founder of LNA in October 2009 and found a similar spirit with a big heart for the people of Ladakh. They exchanged thoughts and ideas. What a surprise it was to hear that Dr. Tsering Palmo would be in Kempten, Germany early spring to talk about the LNA, health and happiness.

They met in Kempten and worked together spreading knowledge about the projects in Ladakh that need help. Dr. Palmo had been visiting German institutions treating people with disability and expressed her astonishment as to the excellent way this problem is handled here in Germany. She got a glimpse of what needs to be done for the disabled in Ladakh and is looking foreward to meeting Karola in June in Leh to find new and better ways to help.

Drei junge Nonnen von der LNA wurden 2007 Mitglieder von REWA. Sie reisen mit uns zu den Kindern, behandeln sich mit der Amchi-Medizin (traditionelle Tibetische Medizin) und helfen, woimmer sie können. Karola trafe Dr. Tsering Palmo, die Gründerin der LNA, letzten Oktober in Ladakh und sie fand in der Nonne eine Gleichgesinnte mit einem großen Herzen für die Not der Ladakhis. Sie tauschen konkrete und umsetzbare Gedanken und Ideen aus. Die Überraschung war groß, als wir hörten, dass Dr. Tsering Palmo im Kempten gastieren würde um über die LNA, das Glück und Gesundheit zu referieren.

Karola, Jürgen und Dr. Palmo trafen sich in Kempten und verbreiteten Informationen über die von ihnen unterstützten Hilfsprojekte. Dr. Palmo hatte in den letzten Tagen deutsche Behindertenheime besucht und die Art und Weise kennen gelernt, wie wir hier mit Behinderten umgehen. Ihr Verständnis für die Problematik wird der Arbeit in Ladakh weiterhelfen und wir freuen uns auf das nächste Treffen in Juni in Leh, um die ganze Behindertenarbeit in Ladakh weiter zu entwickeln und zu fördern.

At the stand from Ladakh-Hilfe we showed the new film "Ladakh-Hilfe 2009", handed out flyers and promoted Karolas new book "The other side of Ladakh". We also welcomed a special visitor: Claudia Hügele, Occupational Therapist from Switzerland, came to help and exchange thoughts and informations. Claudia will travell to Ladakh herself in September/Ocober 2009 to help with the project.

Am Stand von Ladakh-Hilfe zeigten wir den neuen Film "Ladakh-Hilfe 2009", verteilten Flyer und warben für Karolas neues Buch "Das andere Ladakh". Eine besondere Besucherin half uns bei dieser Arbeit: Claudia Hügele ist Ergotherapeutin und reiste aus der Schweiz an, um uns kennenzulernen und sich über ihren Einsatz in Ladakh im September/Oktober 2009 zu informieren.
