Meeting
His Holiness the 14th Dalia Lama
It was not easy to get the appointment with His Holiness, the great
Dalia Lama, but we were so lucky and God listen us and got the first
chance to meet and talk with His Holiness. It was on 25th of August
2009 , early in the morning we were sitting in the garden waiting,
and also nervous. And suddenly we hard our name REWA Society, oh!
It was so happy moment that I ever had in my life.
All of our team was at his residence garden and just waiting to see
him so close ….
And the time came when he came out and we were sitting in a circle
with long ‘khataks: after some time we went so close to him and
starting to give him our introduction and specially about our work
in Leh, Ladakh, showed him our flyer …Oh! He was so happy and
asking us lot of questions like, when it was start and how many people
are working on it, I was so pleased to answer him and he announced
to give a donation to help REWA Society.
Lastly we took a nice and peaceful group picture along with him.
For every one of us it was a unforgettable day in our life. Tsering
